Welcome to Ancestral Ackroyd's. Thank you very much for visiting my site. I hope you like the new colour scheme.

I am Carol Ackroyd and I have been researching for over ten years, and have many thousands of records.

My site contains lots of information pertaining to our family name of 'Ackroyd'. We are based in Doncaster, South Yorkshire. 'Ackroyd' is my married name, my maiden is 'Nolan' which I am also researching. These are the two main names in our family tree but there are lots of other names in the tree.

Our Ackroyd's are mainly in South Yorkshire but one branch emigrated to America. This line is now mainly in America and Canada. The Nolan's started in Ireland moving to Liverpool, Merseyside.
