I am trying to research into my mothers side of the family the Ackroyd's,
my great grandparents Frederick and Edith Ackroyd married in Leeds 1902
and shortly after went to live in Cape Town south Africa. My grandmother
Dorothy Amy Ackroyd was born there in 1907 but on the 1911 UK census were
back in the UK living in Bridlington with my great great grandmother Ada
Coulter Edith's mother and one of her daughters Mabel. My great great
grandfather was Alfred Ackroyd married to Elizabeth they had a family cab
business in Leeds Alfred's brother William Ackroyd married Annie Roberts
who was the sister of Alfred's wife the Roberts came from the Portsmouth
area. I look forward to your reply Sir Timothy.
If anyone has any information on any of the above please
get in contact so that I can put you in touch with the people researching
them
